Team News: Harry Kane handed Tottenham Hotspur captaincy for Burnley trip

Mauricio Pochettino makes three changes to his Tottenham Hotspur side for their Premier League meeting against Burnley, with Harry Kane named captain.

Harry Kane will lead out Tottenham Hotspur for the first time this afternoon in their Premier League meeting against Burnley, having been named as captain by manager Mauricio Pochettino.

First-choice stopper Hugo Lloris misses out on the trip to Turf Moor due to a knee injury sustained prior to the international break, meaning that Michel Vorm is given the nod to start for the first time in a league game for Spurs.

England international Andros Townsend also misses out, with Paulinho handed a rare chance in the middle, while Vlad Chiriches comes into the side in the third and final change from last time out, replacing Jan Vertonghen, who has been struck down by illness.

Sean Dyche has opted to once again name an unchanged starting lineup, with Danny Ings and Sam Vokes tasked with leading the line for the relegation battlers.

Norwegian midfielder Fredrik Ulvestad has been named in Clarets' matchday squad, meanwhile, and he will be hoping to make his top-flight debut from the bench.

Burnley: Heaton; Trippier, Duff, Shackell, Mee; Boyd, Jones, Arfield, Barnes; Ings, Vokes
Subs: Gilks, Keane, Ward, Kightly, Jutkiewicz, Sordell, Ulvestad

Tottenham: Vorm, Walker, Chiriches, Dier, Rose; Bentaleb, Mason; Chadli, Eriksen, Paulinho; Kane
Subs: Friedel, Davies, Dembele, Lamela, Stambouli, Townsend, Soldado
