Burnley sign former Watford winger Lloyd Dyer until end of the season

Burnley complete the signing of former Watford winger Lloyd Dyer until the end of the season.

Burnley have completed the signing of former Watford winger Lloyd Dyer on a deal until the end of the season.

The 33-year-old, who was recently linked to Ipswich Town, was released from his contract at Watford last month.

Manager Sean Dyche told the club's official website: "Lloyd had come out of his situation at Watford and is very experienced and we still feel he has something to offer.

"He has been involved with two promoted teams, so he brings that experience, but he's also different to what we already have at the club. He is direct and has pace, so he adds a different aspect to our game and the squad.

"Lloyd hasn't come here for money; he's come here to be a part of something and he wanted that challenge. He knows that we are going well and he knows it's not an easy task to get in the team, but that's the challenge that's in front of him."

Dyer has played for West Bromwich Albion, Millwall, MK Dons and Leicester City in his career.
