Maurizio Sarri is reportedly keen to succeed Antonio Conte at Chelsea and will step down as Napoli manager in the coming weeks.

Maurizio Sarri has reportedly indicated his desire to leave Napoli at the end of the season to pave the way for him to take charge of Chelsea.

The 59-year-old is one of a number of names to have been linked with the Stamford Bridge hotseat, which is currently occupied by compatriot Antonio Conte.

An inconsistent campaign has seen the pressure grow on Conte, though, and he is widely expected to depart Chelsea next month.

According to The Mirror, Sarri is the managerial option Chelsea favour and they are now confident of landing their man.

Sarri, who has worked wonders during his three seasons at the Stadio San Paolo, is prepared to step aside in the coming weeks in time to replace Conte.

Luis Enrique, Massimiliano Allegri and Carlo Ancelotti are also rumoured to be in the frame to take charge.
