Manchester United brace themselves for a formal approach from Paris Saint-Germain for wantaway midfielder Paul Pogba, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly expecting Paris Saint-Germain to come forward with an official offer for wantaway midfielder Paul Pogba.

The former Juventus man now has less than 12 months left to run on his deal with the Old Trafford giants and has supposedly decided that he will not extend his stay in Manchester.

Real Madrid were previously linked with a move for the Frenchman, but PSG are now thought to be at the head of the queue for Pogba's signature following talks with his agent Mino Raiola.

According to The Telegraph, Man United are now bracing themselves for a formal offer from PSG, who are optimistic about their chances of landing the 28-year-old for a fee of £43m.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have already brought in a quartet of high-profile arrivals this summer, welcoming Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi and Georginio Wijnaldum to the Parc des Princes.

Should Pogba head for the exit door this year rather than leaving on a free in 2022, United are believed to have identified Rennes protege Eduardo Camavinga as an ideal replacement.
