Manchester United set aside the number seven shirt for Barcelona attacker Antoine Griezmann, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly set aside the number seven shirt for Antoine Griezmann as the English giants weigh up a big-money move for the Frenchman.

Griezmann is allegedly free to leave Barcelona this summer despite only arriving at Camp Nou from Atletico Madrid ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Barca are said to be prepared to part with the 29-year-old in order to sign Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez, which appears to have attracted the attention of the 20-time English champions.

According to Mundo Deportivo, United are readying a move for the 2018 World Cup winner and are prepared to offer him the number seven shirt, which is currently owned by on-loan attacker Alexis Sanchez.

Griezmann has scored 14 times in 37 appearances for Quique Setien's side this season but has provided just four assists during a largely disappointing first campaign in Catalonia.

A bid in the region of £90m would allegedly be accepted by the Spanish champions.
