Manchester United 'pull plug on Paulo Dybala deal'

Manchester United pull the plug on a move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly pulled the plug on a move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

The Argentina international has been strongly linked with a move to United in recent days, with the English club said to have accepted a swap deal for Romelu Lukaku.

Dybala has reportedly been stalling on a switch to Old Trafford, though, with the 25-year-old said to be concerned by the club's lack of Champions League football.

The South American, meanwhile, has allegedly signalled that he would only consider a move to the 20-time English champions if he was offered a contract worth £350,000 a week.

According to The Telegraph, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have now pulled out of the deal after becoming frustrated with Dybala's reluctance to leave the Italian champions.

The report also claims that the attacker's wage demands and agent fees have led to United dropping their interest ahead of the closing of the transfer window next week.

Lukaku is already believed to have agreed a contract with Juve, although Inter Milan are said to still be in the hunt for the Belgium international.

United will open their Premier League campaign at home to Chelsea next weekend, where Harry Maguire could make his debut for the club.
