Gareth Bale - unwanted by Real Madrid - reportedly makes it clear that he does not want to leave the Bernabeu this summer.

Gareth Bale has reportedly made it clear to Real Madrid that he has no intention of leaving the Bernabeu this summer despite the club's desire to sell the out-of-form Welshman.

Last month, it was reported that Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane had told Madrid president Florentino Perez that he wants the club to find a buyer for Bale in this summer's transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Zidane recently told Bale in a face-to-face meeting that the attacker was no longer required at the club, but the 29-year-old made it clear during the same talks that he does not want to leave.

Bale has scored over 100 goals for Madrid since a 2013 move from Tottenham Hotspur, while he has a contract in the Spanish capital until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

The attacker has only managed eight La Liga goals this term, though, and has been a bit-part player since Zidane returned for his second spell in charge of the European champions.

Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Tottenham are all believed to be closely watching developments ahead of the opening of this summer's transfer window.
