Real Madrid reluctantly accept that it will not be possible to fund a move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe this year, according to a report.

Real Madrid have reportedly been forced to push back their planned move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The La Liga giants were expected to go all out for long-term target Mbappe this summer as he prepares to enter the final two years of his PSG contract.

According to AS, however, Madrid chiefs have reluctantly accepted that their hopes of landing Mbappe in the next transfer window are dwindling because of financial constraints.

Football has been put on hold while the world attempts to contain the COVID-19 outbreak, meaning little income being brought into Madrid's coffers.

The report indicates that Los Blancos already have plans in place to snap up Mbappe next year, with his valuation expected to drop from £189m to around £132m in those 12 months.
