Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya believes that Ricky Hatton is capable of getting back to the top of the sport.
Hatton will face Vyacheslav Senchenko on Saturday, in his first fight since a 2009 loss to Manny Pacquiao.
De La Hoya, who won world titles at six different weights, is backing Hatton to prove that he is still a world class boxer.
"I believe he can get back to the top," De La Hoya told the Daily Star.
"As long as Ricky can train hard and really feel the passion to be on top again, he can do it because he is such a determined guy.
"Ricky is still young. He has two losses against two great fighters and if he looks good against Senchenko, why not continue?"
Hatton will face Senchenko at the MEN Arena on Saturday night.
