Half-Time Report: Deeny, Faraoni, Forestieri score as Watford lead

Watford storm into a 3-1 half-time lead at Barnsley.

Goals from Troy Deeney, Marco Faraoni and Fernando Forestieri have given Watford a 3-1 lead a half time in their Championship game at Barnsley.

The visitors made a dream start when Deeney grabbed his first goal in five matches with a low drive from close range in the ninth minute.

However, the lead lasted just five minutes, as Jason Scotland capitalised on Iriney's mistake to fire a shot across Manuel Almunia.

Watford were back in front in the 18th minute though, as Faraoni volleyed home Lewis McGugan's deflected cross from the left wing.

With half time approaching, Forestieri turned home a cross from the right wing to extend Watford's lead.
