Eddie Howe 'hugely worried' by Charlie Daniels, Joshua King injuries

Eddie Howe is unsure whether Joshua King and Charlie Daniels will be fit enough to play a part in Bournemouth's festive fixtures after being taken off against Liverpool.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has admitted that the fitness of Charlie Daniels and Joshua King "is a huge worry" ahead of a busy run of fixtures.

Daniels lasted for less than an hour before being taken off against Liverpool at the weekend, while King was replaced during the first half of the 4-0 thrashing.

With Chelsea to come in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, as well as Premier League games against Manchester City, West Ham United, Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion in the next fortnight, Howe is unsure whether he will have two of his key men available.

"We don't know the situation with either player - it's a huge worry though regarding Charlie Daniels and Joshua King," he told reporters. "It was a hamstring injury with King and a groin injury for Daniels so we're not sure at the moment."

Howe also explained that Callum Wilson was overlooked for selection against Liverpool on Saturday after receiving an injection for a "really minute problem".
