Premier League trio Brentford, Crystal Palace and Fulham are reportedly showing an interest in Getafe striker Borja Mayoral.

Brentford, Crystal Palace and Fulham are reportedly interested in signing Getafe striker Borja Mayoral.

The Spaniard, who joined Getafe from Real Madrid in August 2022, has proven to be one of the standout players in the 2023-24 La Liga season.

Having scored 12 goals in 18 top-flight appearances this term, the Getafe forward is currently the second-highest scorer in La Liga.

As a result of his fine form, Mayoral is just one strike behind Real Madrid talisman Jude Bellingham, who tops the scoring charts with 13 goals in 16 matches.

Despite having a contract until the summer of 2027, Mayoral's impressive campaign has led to links with three Premier League clubs.

According to Fichajes, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Fulham are all showing an interest in the 26-year-old striker.

Brentford are seemingly on the lookout for a new marksman, amid speculation linking Ivan Toney with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

Even if the England international remains with Thomas Frank's side, they could still bring in reinforcements, with Bryan Mbeumo sidelined for three months and Yoane Wissa set to head off to the Africa Cup of Nations in January.

Fulham, meanwhile, are searching for a replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic, who completed a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal in the summer.

Although Raul Jimenez scored three goals in two games before he was recently sent off against Newcastle United, there is still doubt as to whether he can find the net on a consistent basis.

As for Crystal Palace, they are keen to bolster Roy Hodgson's current forward options, which include Odsonne Edouard and Jean-Phillipe Mateta.

With Mayoral being closely watched by three Premier League clubs, there is a belief that Getafe have set his asking price at around £12m.

However, it is currently unclear whether the Spanish side will sanction a sale in the middle of a campaign where they are challenging for European competition.

Jose Bordalas's side will head into the new year in eighth position with just two points separating them from seventh-placed Real Betis.

Getafe's reluctance to let go of a key player in the January window may force Mayoral's potential suitors to wait until the end of the season before pursuing a deal.
