Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Bromwich Albion

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion.

Chelsea welcome West Bromwich Albion to Stamford Bridge on their return to Premier League action this Saturday.

The Blues beat Sheffield United 2-0 in their most recent outing two weeks ago to progress to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Thomas Tuchel's men are also into the quarter-finals of the Champions League and are well positioned in the Premier League, sitting two points clear of fifth-placed West Ham United.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the visit of West Brom.

Tammy Abraham

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: April 3 (vs. West Brom)

Tammy Abraham has been struggling with an ankle issue that has kept him out of action since February. The striker returned to training before the international break and should be ready for this first game back.

Thiago Silva

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: April 3 (vs. West Brom)

Thiago Silva has been out with a thigh injury since the start of February. Tuchel is hopeful that the centre-back will be back in contention for this first game of a packed April, but he will not take any risks.

Jorginho

Possible return date: April 3 (vs. West Brom)

Jorginho injured his knee in training with Italy last week and, though few details have been given, he is likely to remain a fitness doubt for Chelsea's clash with West Brom.

Edouard Mendy

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Facial
Possible return date: April 3 (vs. West Brom)

Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy underwent dental surgery last week, forcing him out of Senegal's March fixtures. The procedure was minor and is not expected to keep Mendy sidelined for any period of time.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 3 (vs. West Brom)

N'Golo Kante played in France's 1-1 draw with Ukraine last week, but he sustained a hamstring injury late on and was sent back to Chelsea to receive treatment. The midfielder will continue to be assessed ahead of this weekend's meeting with Albion.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: April 3 (vs. West Brom)

Callum Hudson-Odoi became the latest Chelsea player to be injured on international duty when damaging his shoulder in England Under-21s training. The winger missed Sunday's European Under-21s Champions group clash with Portugal, but it is not known how serious the damage is.
