Chelsea learn that a bid of £30m would convince Bayern Munich to sell German centre-back Mats Hummels, according to a report.

Chelsea have reportedly learned that a bid of £30m would convince Bayern Munich to sell German centre-back Mats Hummels during the January transfer window.

Hummels, 30, has made 100 appearances for Bayern since a 2016 move from Borussia Dortmund, winning two Bundesliga titles and three DFL-Supercup trophies with the German giants.

The centre-back is no longer an automatic pick for Bayern, however, and his future at the Allianz Arena is believed to be far from secure.

According to The Sun, Chelsea are interested in signing Hummels during the winter window and have been informed that the price is £30m.

Hummels has a contract with Bayern until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
