Roma have been held to a goalless draw by Chievo in Sunday's Serie A clash at the Stadio Marc-Antonio Bentegodi.

Roma entered the match having won seven of their last eight league matches, and knowing that a victory would have taken them to within one point of third-placed Juventus with a game in hand.

La Magica had an incredible 26 attempts - eight of which were on target - against the home side, but a string of excellent saves from Chievo goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino ensured that the points would be shared.

Radja Nainggolan and Aleksandar Kolarov had the best of the chances, but neither could find the back of the net as Roma missed a big opportunity to pick up all three points.

The result has left Chievo down in 10th position in Serie A, while Roma remain third - three points off third-placed Juventus.
