Jose Fonte and Charlie Austin both start for Southampton in this afternoon's trip to Crystal Palace.

The duo's inclusion are two of seven changes by Claude Puel to the side that ousted Arsenal from the EFL Cup in the quarterfinals in midweek, as Fraser Forster, Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Bertrand and Sofiane Boufal retain their places in the XI.

The hosts show three changes from the Eagles side that were on the wrong end of a nine-goal thriller against Swansea City last time out.

Connor Wickham has been ruled out for the rest of the season with ACL damage and the 23-year-old is replaced this week by Andros Townsend.

Joe Ledley is handed a start in place of Yohan Cabaye, out having collected five yellow cards, while Damien Delaney comes in for Martin Kelly.

Crystal Palace: Hennessey, Tomkins, Dann, Delaney, Ward, McArthur, Ledley, Townsend, Puncheon, Zaha, Christian Benteke
Subs: Speroni, Flamini, Campbell, Lee, Fryers, Sako, Kelly

Southampton: Forster, Cedric, Fonte, Austin, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Van Dijk, Boufal, Bertrand, Redmond, Hojbjerg
