Jurgen Klopp insists that Mohamed Salah remains "100%" committed to Liverpool amid claims that Al-Ittihad will go all out to sign the Egyptian attacker.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that Mohamed Salah remains "100%" committed to the Reds amid fresh claims of a potential move to Saudi Arabia.

Speculation surrounding the Egypt international's future died down when he extended his contract until 2025 last year, but that has not stopped financial powerhouses in the Middle East trying their luck.

Reports on Thursday stated that Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad were ready to go all out in an attempt to prise Salah away from the Premier League, including making him the highest-paid player in the world.

Liverpool have already sold Fabinho to Nuno Espirito Santo's side this summer, as well as letting long-serving captain Jordan Henderson reunite with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq.

However, Salah's agent Ramy Abbas Issa has often taken to social media to deny rumours of a possible exit for his client, and Klopp has affirmed that any incoming bids for the 31-year-old would be swiftly turned down.

"If there was something coming up, which I don't think [there is] or don't know, then we can think about it. But I said already, if there was something it would be a no," Klopp told reporters ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Salah memorably cut a frustrated figure when he was substituted in the Reds' Premier League opener against Chelsea, but when asked if he thinks the winger remains fully committed to Liverpool, Klopp emphatically responded: "100%".

Despite his Stamford Bridge outburst, Salah retained his place in the starting lineup for last weekend's victory over Bournemouth, netting alongside Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota in a 3-1 comeback win.

Trent Alexander-Arnold had emerged as an injury doubt from that fixture, where Curtis Jones and Thiago Alcantara were also missing due to ankle and hip injuries, and the latter two will remain absent for the trip to Newcastle.

However, Klopp has confirmed that Alexander-Arnold has shaken off his minor concern, although the Reds have now been handed a fresh worry over Ibrahima Konate, who is a doubt for the showdown with Eddie Howe's side.

"Trent yes. Thiago from Monday on, Curtis from Monday on, and Ibou is a doubt. Playing 40 minutes with 10 men [against Bournemouth] didn't help. The rest should be available," Klopp added.

Liverpool controversially went down a man against the Cherries when Alexis Mac Allister was given a straight red card for a tackle on Ryan Christie, which would have seen the Argentine serve a three-match suspension.

However, Mac Allister's sending off has now been overturned, and Klopp was relieved to see the Reds' appeal succeed, adding: "When I saw the pictures back I was pretty sure it wasn't a red card, but that doesn't mean our appeal would be successful.

"We could make the point really clear, and the pictures were pretty clear as well. It's a bit of a message as well, yes harsh tackles should always be punished, I support that 100%, but it was not a harsh tackle. It was a touch in a situation."

Mac Allister's sending-off saw Wataru Endo play his first minutes for Liverpool just one day after arriving from Stuttgart, and the Japanese lynchpin could now come in for his full Premier League debut at St James' Park.
