Remi Garde's men cruised into a two-goal half-time lead courtesy of strikes from Bafetimbi Gomis and Nabil Fekir respectively.

The visitors emerged the better of both sides following the interval and reduced the arrears on 47 minutes through Gianni Bruno.

It did little to curb Lyon's offensive threat, though, as Bakary Kone re-established the two-goal cushion just three minutes later.

Highly-rated striker Alexandre Lacazette then killed off any hopes that Bastia may have had of staging a comeback by adding a fourth shortly after the hour mark to cap a healthy win.
