Malaga continue their impressive start to La Liga with a 4-0 win against Real Betis at home on Saturday.

Malaga have continued their impressive start to the season with a 4-0 home victory over Real Betis in La Liga on Saturday.

Betis were on the backfoot right from the start and were reduced to 10 men as early as the 10th minute.

Goalkeeper Casto brought down Eliseu inside the penalty area and was promptly sent off.

Substitute keeper Adrian San Miguel del Castillo failed to keep out Joaquin's subsequent penalty, as Malaga went 1-0 up in the 13th minute.

The hosts took advantage of their numerical superiority and doubled their advantage on 28 minutes, when Javier Saviola found the target from close range after being released by Francisco Portillo.

It became 3-0 to Malaga on 72 minutes when Antonio Amaya scored an own goal, and the victory was complete two minutes later when Isco slotted home from the left side of the penalty box.
