How Manchester United could line up against Leeds United

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up for Sunday's Premier League showdown with Leeds United at Old Trafford.

Manchester United welcome bitter rivals Leeds United to Old Trafford on Sunday for the first Premier League showdown between the two sides for more than 16 years.

The Red Devils have taken 16 points from the last 18 on offer in the top flight to climb up to sixth, yet their home form remains a concern with only one win and three goals on their own turf this season.

Sunday sees them welcome a Leeds side fresh from scoring five times against Newcastle United in midweek, although the visitors have also suffered from inconsistency this season.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could set his side up for the renewal of hostilities between the old foes.

Manchester United have no new injury concerns for this match and could even welcome Edinson Cavani back into the fold after missing the last three games.

Solskjaer will no doubt look to use the Uruguayan during an upcoming run of five games in 12 days, but the performances of two-goal Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, who helped himself to a goal and an assist, against Sheffield United last time out may be enough for them to keep their place despite the quick turnaround.

There were changes for that Sheffield United game, though, and David de Gea could be one of those to return to the starting XI here after Dean Henderson's howler against his former club.

Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay and Fred could also come back into the side, but Paul Pogba, who made his senior club debut the last time these two sides met in 2011, may keep his place for a third start in the space of a week.

Pogba's future has once again made headlines recently, but he appears to be back in favour despite his agent's comments and his performance against Sheffield United could be enough to earn him another start.

Defensive duo Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones are the only confirmed absentees for the hosts.
