Manchester United are already planning to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly already planning to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as head coach.

The Norwegian's future remain the subject of much speculation, with the Red Devils losing three of their last four Premier League matches, including back-to-back home defeats to Liverpool and Manchester City.

Solskjaer has, thus far, kept his job over the international break and is expected to lead the team into Saturday's Premier League contest with Watford at Vicarage Road.

However, Leicester City's Brendan Rodgers and former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane continue to be strongly linked with the role at Old Trafford.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer could potentially see out for the rest of the season, but the Red Devils are planning to replace the treble-winning forward.

The report claims that Rodgers is viewed as the preferred candidate, and the 48-year-old would rather wait until the end of the campaign before arriving in Manchester.

The Northern Irishman has won two trophies during his time in charge of the Foxes, lifting last season's FA Cup before securing the Community Shield earlier this term.
