Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that "a red jersey would look very good" on Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said that "a red jersey would look very good" on Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed another impressive season for BVB, scoring 20 times and providing 20 assists in 44 appearances in all competitions.

Klopp branded the England international "a very interesting player" when asked about him at a live event, but the Liverpool manager conceded that his side are unlikely to move for the attacker this summer.

"A red jersey would look very good on Jadon Sancho. But I don't think such a transfer will take place this summer. He is a very interesting player. If he moved to Liverpool, I would be the most surprised of all," Klopp told Bild.

Sancho's future remains the subject of much speculation, with Manchester United seemingly determined to bring him to Old Trafford for the 2020-21 campaign.

However, Dortmund would allegedly be unprepared to sell the former Manchester City youngster unless they receive an offer in the region of £115m.
