Daniel Sturridge has been named on the bench as West Bromwich Albion resume their Premier League relegation fight with Saturday's trip to Newcastle United.

The forward returned as a substitute in the 1-0 win over Manchester United this month, following a hamstring injury, although he was ineligible to face parent club Liverpool last week.

However, Baggies caretaker manager Darren Moore has kept faith with the starting XI which drew 2-2 with the Reds last time out.

As for Newcastle, Rafael Benitez has one change his starting XI after Monday's 1-0 defeat at Everton as Dwight Gayle replaces Islam Slimani up front.

The Magpies are without midfielders Christian Atsu and Mikel Merino, both of whom are nursing knee niggles, while captain Jamaal Lascelles is set to make his 100th appearance for the club.

Newcastle United: Dubravka; Yedlin, Lascelles, Lejeune, Dummett; Ritchie, Diame, Shelvey, Kenedy; Perez, Gayle
Subs: Darlow, Clark, Manquillo, Hayden, Murphy, Joselu

West Bromwich Albion: Foster; Nyom, Dawson, Hegazi, Gibbs; Phillips, Livermore, McClean, Brunt; Rodriguez, Rondon
Subs: Myhill, Evans, Yacob, Krychowiak, Burke, Robson-Kanu, Sturridge
