Spoils shared between Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth

Plymouth Argyle and Portsmouth draw 1-1 in this afternoon's League Two encounter at Home Park.

Plymouth Argyle and Portsmouth have played out a 1-1 draw in this afternoon's League Two encounter at Home Park.

The hosts broke the deadlock with 21 minutes played as Conor Hourihane made no mistake from close range following an error from Yassin Moutaouakil.

However, the away side responded well and were rewarded five minutes before the break when Jed Wallace fired a half-volley past goalkeeper Luke McCormick.

Moutaouakil made up for his earlier error with 15 minutes left thanks to a goal-saving challenge on Reuben Reid.

An entertaining finish to the match saw chances fall for John Marquis and Reid again, but neither side was able to grab a winning goal.
