Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Anzhi Makhachkala

Sports Mole looks ahead to Thursday's Europa League meeting between Tottenham and Anzhi Makhachkala at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur conclude their successful Europa League group campaign on Thursday when they welcome Anzhi Makhachkala to White Hart Lane.

Andre Villas-Boas's side have already secured top spot in Group K thanks to a perfect record of five wins from their opening five matches.

Meanwhile, Russian visitors Anzhi are also through to the last 32 as they sit five points clear of second-placed Sheriff Tiraspol heading into their final fixture.

Goals from Jermain Defoe and Nacer Chadli saw Spurs record a 2-0 victory when the teams met back at the start of October.

The hosts are likely to rest a number of key players, while Vlad Chiriches and Jan Vertonghen are expected to miss out through injury. Ali Gadzhibekov is absent for the away side with a fractured jaw.
