Team News: Sunderland, Southampton make two changes apiece

Sunderland and Southampton make two changes apiece ahead of their Premier League clash at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland have made two changes ahead of their Premier League clash against Southampton at the Stadium of Light.

Sebastian Larsson and Danny Graham come into Dick Advocaat's starting XI in place of Will Buckley and Jack Rodwell, who both make the bench.

Black Cats captain John O'Shea suffered a knock in last week's 1-1 draw at Stoke City, but is deemed fit enough to play this afternoon.

Southampton also make two changes, with Morgan Schneiderlin unavailable after suffering a season-ending injury.

Shane Long takes the Frenchman's place in the Saints' starting XI, while Steven Davis drops to the bench in favour of Victor Wanyama.

Sunderland were thrashed 8-0 by Southampton back in October.

Sunderland: Pantilimon, Jones, van Aanholt, Cattermole, Larsson, Wickham, Gomez, O'Shea, Graham, Coates, Defoe
Subs: Bridcutt, Rodwell, Johnson, Reveillere, Mannone, Vergini, Buckley

Southampton: K. Davis, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Bertrand, Alderweireld, Wanyama, Ward-Prowse, Long, Mane, Pelle
Subs: Gazzaniga, Gardos, S. Davis, Djuricic, Elia, Reed, Targett
