Asmir Begovic has been given his Bournemouth debut against West Bromwich Albion while fellow new signing Jermaine Defoe begins the game on the bench.

The goalkeeper - signed from Chelsea this summer - is handed a start and fellow former Blues player Nathan Ake starts in defence.

Defoe, however, is only handed a place among the subs following his recovery from a groin injury.

Meanwhile, Junior Stanislas is kept out with his own groin complaint and Callum Wilson continues his recovery from a knee injury.

Tony Pulis fields two debutants in the form of Jay Rodriguez and loanee Ahmed Hegazi as the Baggies aim to continue their positive home league record against today's opponents, having lost just one game in seven.

Gareth McAuley misses out with a thigh problem, and James Morrison with a knee problem.

West Bromwich Albion: Foster; Nyom, Dawson, Hegazi, Brunt; Yacob; Livermore, Phillips, Field, McClean; Rodriguez

Bournemouth: Begovic; Francis, Cook, Ake, Daniels; Fraser, Surman, Arter, Pugh; King, Afobe
