Kieran Gibbs is fit to start for West Bromwich Albion in their Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace at The Hawthorns.

New West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew makes just one change to the side that drew 2-2 with Newcastle United ahead of Saturday's clash with Crystal Palace.

Matt Phillips has a hamstring injury and is replaced by Jay Rodriguez, while 19-year-old defender Max Melbourne - who is yet to feature for the Baggies in the Premier League - takes a spot on the bench.

Kieran Gibbs came off during the comeback draw with Newcastle on Tuesday with a gash to his thigh but has been passed fit to start for the Baggies at The Hawthorns.

Meanwhile, Roy Hodgson makes two changes to the Eagles side that earned a first away point of the season at Brighton & Hove Albion last time out as James McArthur and Martin Kelly come in for James Tomkins and Yohan Cabaye.

Damien Delaney had an operation on Friday and joins Lee Chung-yong and Connor Wickham on the sidelines, while Scott Dann has fallen ill overnight so Hodgson only has five substitutes to work with today.

West Bromwich Albion: Foster; Nyom, Evans, Gibbs, Hegazi; Field, Barry, Livermore; Robson-Kanu, Rondon, Rodriguez
Subs: Myhill, Yacob, McClean, Burke, Krychowiak, McAuley, Melbourne

Crystal Palace: Hennessey, Ward; Sakho, Schlupp, Kelly; Milivojevic, McArthur, Loftus-Cheek, Townsend; Zaha, Benteke
Subs: Speroni, van Aanholt, Fosu-Mensah, Sako, Puncheon, Riedewald
