West Bromwich Albion end interest in Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza?

West Bromwich Albion head coach Alan Pardew reportedly opts against making a move for Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza.

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly decided to end their interest in signing Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza.

While Tony Pulis was still in charge of the Baggies, it had appeared likely that the club would make another offer for the Brazilian after they failed with an approach during the summer.

However, according to Turkish-Football.com, new head coach Alan Pardew does not want to add another central midfielder to his first-team squad.

The West Midlands outfit are currently well stocked with players in that position, with Gareth Barry, Jake Livermore, Claudio Yacob, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Sam Field all having featured in the centre of the park in the Premier League this season.

While the club only sit in 17th place in the league table, Pardew will allegedly be limited in the transfer market due to West Brom needing to meet FFP regulations.
