Slaven Bilic comments to lead to interest in Reece Oxford?

West Ham United may reportedly have to fend off interest in Reece Oxford after manager Slaven Bilic questioned the youngster's Golden Boy nomination.

West Ham United midfielder Reece Oxford has reportedly been put in line for a potential exit from the London Stadium.

Oxford is currently out on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, but it has been suggested that the teenager may return to East London after failing to make an appearance for the Bundesliga outfit.

However, boss Slaven Bilic has suggested that the 18-year-old did not deserve his nomination for the European Golden Boy award as he was not in the same class as Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.

According to The Mirror, Bilic's assessment could lead to clubs attempting to sign the highly-rated prospect should he be recalled by the Hammers at the start of 2018.

Oxford has played 14 times for West Ham, but his last outing came back in August 2016.
