Team News: Two debuts for Wigan Athletic against Cardiff City

Jermaine Pennant and Gaetan Bong are to make their Wigan Athletic debuts on Tuesday evening in their Championship clash against Cardiff City at the DW Stadium.

Two players will make their Wigan Athletic debuts in their Championship clash against Cardiff City this evening at the DW Stadium.

Newcomers Jermaine Pennant and Gaetan Bong are included in Malky Mackay's starting XI against his former club, while Emmerson Boyce makes his 250th league appearance for the Latics.

Loan striker Leon Clarke is ruled out with a shoulder injury, joining William Kvist, Grant Holt and Emyr Huws on the Wigan absence list.

Cardiff's Matt Connolly is set to be joined at the back by Joe Ralls, who replaces the injured Scott Malone, while winger Anthony Pilkington is also out.

Up front, manager Russell Slade has opted for Eoin Doyle and Kenwyne Jones to lead the line.
