Former Tottenham Hotspur player Gary Mabbutt is recovering in hospital following an emergency operation.
Mabbutt had a peripheral artery bypass operation to cure a circulation blockage in his leg, and the club have announced that the recovery is going well.
A club statement read: "[Tottenham] are delighted to report that Gary Mabbutt is now making a successful recovery from an emergency operation to cure a circulation blockage in his left leg.
"Everybody at the vlub would like to wish him a full and speedy recovery, while Gary himself would like to thank his dedicated medical team and staff at Kings College."
Mabbutt made 482 league appearances for Spurs during his playing career.
