Burns kicked between the posts either side of half-time to give Gloucester a six-point advantage as both sides continued to struggle going forward with the ball.
However, the Tigers were back in the match after Anthony Allen broke through a gap to touch down in the corner for the first try of the match.

Geordan Murphy failed to convert the kick but atoned for his mistake just moments later to give the hosts an 11-9 lead.
Burns had an opportunity to regain the lead for Gloucester but his kick was wide and Ford added to the fly-half's misery by kicking a successful penalty just minutes later.
A converted penalty from Burns set up a dramatic finish but the Tigers managed to hold off the pressure before Ford kicked his third penalty of the match to confirm the victory.
