Jermichael Finley's agent has confirmed that he is due to visit his neurosurgeon for an X-ray on his surgically repaired spine next month.
The Green Bay Packers tight end, who is due to become a free agent in March, underwent a spinal fusion after suffering a spinal contusion in October.
According to USA Today, Blake Baratz has said that Finley will travel to Pittsburgh to meet with Dr Joseph Maroon on March 7, and could be cleared for contact within four weeks.
Packer head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed this week that the NFC North side are optimistic over the 26-year-old's future.
