Eddie Lacy trying to focus on gaining positive yards

Eddie Lacy says that he is trying to remain positive following his worst game of the season for the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy has said that he must pick himself up following his worst display of the season.

Lacy rushed for just 27 yards from 14 attempts during Sunday's loss to the New York Giants - his poorest output so far, disregarding a game against the Washington Redskins when he was concussed in the first quarter.

With quarterback Aaron Rodgers sidelined through injury, there is pressure on Lacy to step up for the offense, despite increased blocking on him.

Lacy told reporters: "It's real difficult to make a play work in some situations, but my mindset is just try to get anything that's positive.

"I just have to make sure I don't get tackled for like a loss of one or two because it can put the offense in an even worse situation.

"Teams are starting to bring a safety down, and it's unblocked. We don't have a person for that unblocked defender so no matter what run we play, he just shoots a gap and he's a free hitter. It's tough."

The Packers currently occupy third spot in the NFC North with a 5-5 record.
