Agent: 'Andrew McDonald disappointed by Wells report link'

The agent of former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Andrew McDonald says that his client is "disappointed" to have been linked to the Wells report.

Andrew McDonald's agent has said that the Carolina Panthers offensive lineman is "disappointed" that he has been linked to the Wells report.

Attorney Ted Wells published his report into bullying and harassment within the Miami Dolphins dressing room, including details of an incident where 'Player A' was given a male blow-up doll as a gag gift from offensive line coach Jim Turner.

After it was revealed that McDonald was the anonymous player, agent Brett Tessler said in a statement: "[McDonald is] disappointed that his name has become associated with this story. He's been a member of another organisation since last season and is trying to focus on the future.

"When Ted Wells approached Andrew at the end of the investigation, Mr. Wells already had all the information contained in the report that he had gotten elsewhere.

"While Andrew can't speak for any other players involved in the report, he personally has no problem with the Miami Dolphins organisation and has the highest opinion of [offensive line coach Jim] Turner both personally and professionally and feels terrible about the way their relationship has been portrayed in the report."

McDonald joined the Panthers ahead of the 2013 NFL season.
