The NFL report into the bullying scandal at the Miami Dolphins last season has confirmed that offensive lineman Jonathan Martin suffered verbal harassment at the hands of three of his teammates.
The investigation by independent investigator Ted Wells came to the conclusion, in his 144-page report into the matter, that Martin was subject to harassment from Richie Incognito, along with guard John Jerry and Mike Pouncey.
However, Wells has revealed that the harassment by the trio was not designed to force Martin from the team's complex, which he left in October and didn't return for the duration of the 2013 season.
Wells wrote in the report: "Nevertheless, although Incognito, Jerry and Pouncey verbally harassed Martin, we find that they did not intend to drive Martin from the team or cause him lasting emotional injury."
Incognito was suspended as a result of the allegations into the scandal by the Dolphins.
