The Minnesota Vikings have re-signed Joe Banyard to their active roster ahead of their game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The running back played 23 snaps during last week's 48-30 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, but was waived and placed on the practice squad last week.
The NFC North side have a series of injuries in the backfield, with Adrian Peterson and Matt Asiata both listed as questionable, while Toby Gerhart is probably with a hamstring injury.
The Vikings also signed defensive end Justin Trattou from the practice squad, while tight end John Carlson was placed on injured reserve and cornerback Robert Steeples was waived.
