San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York is optimistic that the club will be able to keep veteran running back Frank Gore.
The 31-year-old has been an integral part of the NFC West outfit since he was selected by the club in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft.
However, Gore's contract with the 49ers runs out on Tuesday, and although the parties have yet to come close to striking a new deal, York is confident that the circumstances will change in the near future.
He told the San Francisco Chronicle: "I think we'll figure out a way. That's my feeling."
Gore has recorded 11,073 rushing yards and 64 touchdowns in his 10 years with the 49ers.
