New IAAF president Lord Sebastian Coe has insisted that he will maintain the body's "zero-tolerance" attitude towards doping in athletics.
The sport has been rocked by recent allegations, including claims implicating Mo Farah's coach Alberto Salazar.
Last week, the IAAF revealed that 32 "adverse findings" were discovered in samples of 28 athletes who competed at the World Championships in 2005 and 2007.
Today, after Coe was elected as the new IAAF president, the 58-year-old Brit said in a press conference: "This is a sport that is strong. I have the responsibility to make it stronger, and I will.
"There's zero tolerance to the abuse of doping in my sport and I will maintain that to the highest level of vigilance."
Coe beat Sergey Bubka by 115 votes to 92 at the 50th IAAF Congress in Beijing today.
