Scotland's Eilidh Child has reflected on her "amazing" silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and thanked her home support for injecting her with an adrenaline boost.
The 27-year-old sealed a second-place finish in her 400m hurdles event in Glasgow on Thursday, coming behind Jamaica's Kaliese Spencer.
"Coming into the last hurdle I knew I had to attack it. I could see I was second but my legs were starting to go a bit," she told BBC Sport.
"I ran the heat on Tuesday and the crowd was so loud that I had prepared myself for the final and it going up an extra notch. Knowing all the cheers are for you gives you that extra adrenaline.
"To win the silver was amazing. There were so many emotions going on; relief, happiness. There was a bit more pressure on me but when I ran I forgot about that."
It was Child's second Commonwealth silver of her career, having also finished second in the 400m in Delhi four years ago.
