Tyson Fury's promoter Mick Hennessy believes that British and Commonwealth champion David Price does not want to fight the 24-year-old.

Tyson Fury's promoter Mick Hennessy has insisted that a fight between Fury and David Price will not happen on Price's terms.

The heavyweight duo appear on a collision course to meet in the ring after a series of back-and-forth insults but after Hennessy described the £650,000 offer of Price's promoter Frank Maloney as a "joke", he revealed that he does not think the fight will happen in the near future.

Hennessy told the Daily Star: "If David Price doesn't step up to the plate on our terms, the fight won't happen. I don't think it will happen soon because he doesn't want any of Tyson Fury really.

"Without Tyson there's no story with David Price. If the fight is to happen, Price needs to accept it will not be 50-50 because Tyson has a much higher ranking and profile.

"If Frank Maloney believes it's a massive fight that could happen in a stadium, he is not in the right ball park with that figure of £650,000. That sort of talk is the talk of a village idiot and the offer is a joke."

Both fighters won their respectively bouts last week, with Fury defeating Kevin Johnson on points, while Price stopped Matt Skelton inside two rounds.
