British welterweight Amir Khan believes that Floyd Mayweather will "walk through" Marcos Maidana when they meet on May 3.
Khan had been in the running to face Mayweather before the pound-for-pound king opted for Maidana, and the former world light-welterweight titlist has insisted that the American has taken the "easy route".
The 27-year-old told BBC Radio 5 live: "Floyd probably wants to take the easy route and he's taken Maidana.
"Maidana beat Adrien Broner but everyone knows that it's a fight that Mayweather is going to walk through.
"I beat Maidana in 2010. Speed is what beats him - he is flat-footed."
Khan, a former Olympic silver medallist, is expected to name his next opponent within the next 14 days.
