Thailand's Kaeo Pongprayoon has defeated Bulgaria's Aleksandar Aleksandrov in their Olympic light flyweight quarter-final.
The first round was a tactical battle, as Pongprayoon went to work with short bursts of punches, most of which were blocked by the Bulgarian.
Aleksandrov did not waste a punch and marched forward, throwing single shots. He was the more accurate, but the judges scored it level heading into the second.
Pongprayoon began to target the Bulgarian's body in an attempt to take the wind out of him. Aleksandrov continued to walk forward, but the Thai's work rate helped him to a 9-7 lead.
The Thai continued to outwork his opponent in the final round and went on to clinch a 16-10 victory, despite a late surge from Aleksandrov.
