Shane Watson plays down retirement speculation

Contrary to speculation, Australian all-rounder Shane Watson reveals that he is not looking to retire from one-day international cricket.

Shane Watson has hinted that he is not ready to retire from one-day international cricket.

There had been suggestions that following Australia's success at the Cricket World Cup, the 33-year-old would look to step aside from the shorter format of the game.

However, the all-rounder believes that he still has something to offer the team.

"Hopefully I've still got a lot of really good cricket left in me. I hope the selectors continue to pick me," he told reporters.

Earlier today, Watson's teammate Brad Haddin announced that he no longer wished to be considered for ODI duty.
