Andy Flower bemoans England's ODI defeat to India

England coach Andy Flower admits that he will need to 'go back to the drawing board' after England's crushing 5-0 ODI defeat to India.

England coach Andy Flower has hit out at his side's batsmen after slumping to a 5-0 defeat against India in the one-day international series.

The visitors recorded a fifth straight ODI loss to India yesterday.

"This is a bad setback for us and we have to go back to the drawing board," Flower told Sky Sports News.

"We need time to reflect. I thought we'd learnt lessons from three years ago and put in place training drills which would equip our batsmen to deal better with the conditions out here, but I'm obviously wrong in that regard.

"We obviously haven't got the players into a good enough state to deal with the challenges of playing spin, judging length and moving feet."

One-day international captain Alastair Cook has also expressed his disappointment in England's whitewash in India.
