England will reportedly pick Surrey opener Zafar Ansari for their Test series against Pakistan next month.
The 23-year-old, who was born in Ascot, has a batting average of 31.18 from 55 first-class matches for his county.
According to The Express, the England selectors will choose Ansari to open with Alastair Cook, after Adam Lyth struggled in this summer's Ashes series.
Ansari hit 99 against Lancashire in their County Championship Division Two decider yesterday.
