Serie A club-by-club transfer latest: July 24

Sports Mole takes a look at the latest transfer news and speculation from Serie A.

The start of the new season is just a matter of weeks away for many of Europe's top leagues and the transfer market has been busy as usual.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at the latest rumours from Serie A and the deals that have already been completed this summer.

AC Milan

AC Milan have not signed anyone in the past week, but they have been linked to a number of players. One of those is Adel Taarabt, who had a spell on loan at the Rossoneri last season. He has been left out of Queens Park Rangers' pre-season tour and manager Harry Redknapp has said that the winger is keen to return to the San Siro on a permanent basis.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has also been strongly linked with Milan, and various reports have suggested that they are willing to meet his club's £25m valuation. Another potential arrival could be Zenit St Petersburg defender Domenico Criscito. The 27-year-old has claimed that he would like to return to Italy in the future, but he has played down any talk of leaving Russia this summer.

Atalanta

Atalanta have confirmed the signing of defender Giuseppe Biava. The 37-year-old left Lazio at the end of last season and had previously spoken of his desire to join his hometown club.

The Nerazzurri have also signed Ghana international Richmond Boakye on loan from Juventus. The striker has won seven caps for his country and spent the past two seasons on loan at Sassuolo and Elche.

Cesena

Sampdoria defender Massimo Volta will spend the next season on loan at Cesena. He also played for the Seahorses last season, helping the club to win promotion from Serie B.

Meanwhile, Hordur Magnusson is reportedly joining on loan from Juventus, while the club are believed to be targeting Roma striker Marco Borriello.

Chievo

According to reports in the Italian media, Alessandro Gamberini could be set for a move to Chievo. The 32-year-old has found first-team football hard to come by at Napoli and spent last season on loan at Genoa.

However, it is believed that the former Azzurri international is also being tracked by Leeds United.

Empoli

Massimo Maccarone has rejoined Empoli this week. The forward had been on loan at the Azzurri since January 2012, but following his release from Sampdoria he has joined permanently and has penned a two-year contract.

Meanwhile, Sevilla midfielder Tiberio Guarente has joined the club on loan. The 28-year-old has spent the last three seasons on loan at Bologna, Catania and Chievo and has played for Italy at Under-23 level.

Fiorentina

Colombian international Juan Cuadrado has continued to be linked with a move away from Fiorentina. It has emerged this week that Manchester United have reportedly made an offer for the winger. The 27-year-old has also been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona and Bayern Munich in recent months.

Elsewhere, Brazilian youngster Ryder Matos has been loaned out to Cordoba, while the club have been linked with a move for Chilean international Marcelo Diaz, who currently plays for Basel.

Genoa

Two players have departed Genoa in the last seven days. Panagiotis Tachtsidis has been loaned out to Hellas Verona, while Sime Vrsaljko has been sold to Sassuolo.

Reports coming out of Italy have suggested that the club are planning a bid for Chievo midfielder Perparim Hetemaj, but Isaac Cofie could be leaving, with Wolfsburg said to be interested.

Hellas Verona

Panagiotis Tachtsidis has joined Hellas Verona on loan from Genoa this week. The Greek international had spells at Catania and Torino last season, and will be playing for the Gialloblu for the second time in his career after a previous loan move three years ago.

They could also sign Livorno forward Paulinho, who has reportedly held talks with the club. The Brazilian has already stated his desire to leave the Serie B outfit, and is it believed that he will cost Verona €6m (£4.74m).

Inter Milan

It has been a quiet week in the transfer market for Inter, with the only significant piece of business the two-year loan of midfielder Alfred Duncan to Sampdoria. However, the club are reportedly in negotiations with Cardiff City over the transfer of Gary Medel.

In other news, the Nerazzurri are said to have approached Tottenham Hotspur over the availability of Erik Lamela and it is believed that they are also interested in his teammate Roberto Soldado. Mauro Icardi has claimed that he has no intentions of leaving the club, but he has recently been linked with a €27m (£21m) move to Monaco.

Juventus

Juventus have continued to strengthen their squad as they prepare to defend their Serie A title, with the additions of two big-name signings this week. The first to arrive at the weekend was Alvaro Moarta, who has joined from Real Madrid. The 21-year-old is believed to have cost the club €18m (£14.25m), but he will have to wait to make his debut after injuring his knee during his first training session in Turin.

At the beginning of this week the Bianconeri also completed the much-expected signing of Patrice Evra from Manchester United. The French international had recently signed a one-year contract extension with the Red Devils, but it seems that he was not in new manager Louis van Gaal's plans for the season ahead.

Lazio

Cagliari defender Davide Astori has been strongly linked with a move to Lazio all summer, however it appears that he is now on the verge of moving to their city rivals Roma. It also seems that the club have failed in their bid to land long-term target Stephan De Vrij, after Feyenoord reportedly rejected their offer for the defender.

Antonio Candreva could be heading towards the exit door, as reports in Italy have claimed that Juventus are keen on signing the midfielder. Juve are said to have offered Angelo Ogbonna and Sebastian Giovinco to Lazio as part of the deal.

Napoli

Michu has joined Napoli on loan from Swansea City this week. The 28-year-old has spent the last two years at the Swans, but following an injury-hit campaign he will spend the next season in Naples.

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer could also be moving to the Partenopei this summer. The World Cup winner has admitted that he is interested in a possible transfer following talks with the club.

Palermo

Sweden international Robin Quaison has joined Palermo from AIK this week. The 20-year-old midfielder, who has scored twice in four appearances for his country, has signed a three-year contract with the Rosanero.

Meanwhile, the club are reportedly interested in signing Bologna forward Rolando Bianchi and River Plate midfielder Leonel Vangioni.

Parma

Jonathan Biabiany has been strongly linked with a move back to his former club Inter all summer, but recent reports have claimed that Sunderland are now the frontrunners for his signature. It is believed that the Black Cats are planning to offer Emanuele Giaccherini in exchange as part of the transfer.

Mexican international Alan Pulido could reportedly be on his way to the Gialloblu in the near future, but the club will face a battle for his services, with Milan, Inter and Olympiacos all said to be interested.

Roma

Following on from the recent acquisitions of Ashley Cole and Juan Iturbe, Roma have signed Argentine youngster Leandro Paredes on loan from Boca Juniors. The 20-year-old had a previous spell at Chievo last season and should he impress then the Giallorossi have an option to make the move permanent.

Meanwhile, Samuel Eto'o has continued to be linked with a move to the club, but Mattia Destro could be on his way out of Rome with Tottenham Hotspur, Wolfsburg and Inter all said to be interested in the forward.

Sampdoria

Sampdoria have had a busy week in the transfer market. Spaniard Jose Campana has arrived at the club from Crystal Palace, while they have also signed Alfred Duncan on a two-year loan from Inter.

Meanwhile, Massimo Maccarone has left the Blucerchiati and joined his former club Empoli, while Gaetano Berardi has also departed the Stadio Luigi Ferraris after penning a deal with Leeds United.

Sassuolo

As expected, Sassuolo have completed the signing of Sime Vrsaljko from Genoa. The 22-year-old has joined for a fee believed to be €6m (£.4.74m) and reports have suggested that Juventus have helped to finance the deal.

Meanwhile, Leonardo Pavoletti has been strongly linked to Hoffenheim, but the Bundesliga club have revealed that they are not interested in the striker.

Torino

In the past seven days, Torino have completed the signings of three new players. Fabio Quagliarella has arrived from Juventus, Vlada Avramov has joined from Cagliari and Gaston Silva has signed from Defensor Sporting.

In other news, Alessio Cerci continues to be strongly liked with a switch to Monaco, while it has been reported that the club are targeting a move for Napoli striker Duvan Zapata.

Udinese

Udinese have signed Brazilian midfielder Guilherme from Corinthians, but Roberto Pereyra seems to be heading towards the exit door following reported interest from Juventus.

Fans of the club will have been pleased that Simone Scuffet has decided to stay. The goalkeeper was linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, but he has revealed that he turned down an offer from the Spanish champions.
