Preview: Arsenal Women vs. Brighton & Hove Albion Women - prediction, team news, lineups

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Women's Super League clash between Arsenal Women and Brighton & Hove Albion Women, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Arsenal Women will attempt to extend their six-game unbeaten run in all competitions when they play host to Brighton & Hove Albion Women on the final day of the Women's Super League season.

The Gunners will enter Saturday's contest in third place in the table, while the Seagulls are currently sitting in ninth position.

Arsenal will be disappointed to not be in the title picture, with five points separating them from leaders Manchester City.

As it stands, Jonas Eidevall's side are set to finish in third place for the second straight season after collecting 47 points from 21 league matches.

However, with two points separating them from second-placed Chelsea, Arsenal will finish in the runners-up spot if they beat Brighton and the Blues lose to Manchester United.

They will certainly fancy their chances of claiming all three points, having won four of their last five league games, including a dramatic 2-1 victory in their recent clash with Man City.

The Gunners appeared to be heading towards defeat until Stina Blackstenius scored in the 89th and 92nd minute to end Arsenal's seven-year wait for an away win over Man City.

Arsenal will have home advantage for Saturday's contest, which could prove crucial as they have won each of their last nine league matches.

Brighton may have experienced a tumultuous campaign, but they are guaranteed to better last season's 11th-placed finish.

Although they may have little to play for, the Seagulls could still move up to eighth spot or drop down to 10th place on the final day of the WSL season.

The Seagulls will travel to Meadow Park off the back of a poor run of form which has seen them take just two points from their last two matches.

Last time out, Aston Villa's Alisha Lehmann scored the only goal of the game to condemn Brighton to a fifth consecutive home defeat.

They have at least proven to be a tough team to beat on their travels, having avoided defeat in each of their last four away games in the WSL.

Arsenal are expected to be without defender Lotte Wubben-Moy and midfielder Lia Walti due to their respective injury issues.

Vivianne Miedema will hope to play some role in Saturday's contest after it was confirmed that she will leave the club when her contract expires at the end of the season.

The Gunners have also confirmed that the goalkeeping duo of Sabrina D'Angelo and Kaylan Marckese will both depart this summer.

Kim Little, Caitlin Foord and Blackstenius could be considered for starting spots after they came off the bench to make a positive impact in Saturday's clash with Brighton.

As for the visitors, Melina Loeck is poised to retain her place in goal after featuring in the last two matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.

Katie Robinson could be considered for a starting place, having appeared as a substitute in Brighton's previous two fixtures.

Norway international Elisabeth Terland will continue to lead the line after scoring 13 goals in 21 league appearances this season.
