Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka has taken sixth place in the 2021 Kopa Trophy.

The England international scored seven goals and set up nine more in all competitions for the Gunners last term before playing a key role in England's run to the Euro 2020 final.

The Kopa Trophy is presented to the best player of the year aged 21 or under, and Saka - who turned 20 two months ago - has finished in a respectable sixth place.

Barcelona favourite Pedri won the award, with Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham in second while Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich took third.

Paris Saint-Germain left-back Nuno Mendes just missed out on a spot in the top three, and Manchester United's Mason Greenwood pipped Saka to a spot in the top five.

The men's Ballon d'Or was won for a record-extending seventh time by Lionel Messi, and the women's award was scooped by Alexia Putellas.
